Prolific offender locked up after seven month crime spree across the city

'PROLIFIC' thief John Martin targeted shops and cars in a seven-month £2,270 crime spree.

But the 31-year-old’s rampage has come to an abrupt end after he was jailed.
Police in Stoke-on-Trent have welcomed the sentence - while revealing Martin, right, is also banned from nine shops in the Potteries after an interim order was granted. It comes after the defendant appeared before magistrates to face 34 charges.
