Waine one of four released by Argyle
The Herald
|May 09, 2025
PLYMOUTH Argyle have offered new deals to the out-of-contract trio of Mustapha Bundu, Jordan Houghton and Jack Matthews to extend their stays at Home Park.
-
However, the relegated Pilgrims are releasing Josh Bernard, Saxon Earley, Will Jenkins Davies and Ben Waine, whose contracts expire at the end of June. All five of Argyle’s loan signings - Darko Gyabi (Leeds United), Nikola Katic (FC Zurich), Michael Obafemi (Burnley), Tymoteusz Puchacz (Holstein Kiel) and Muhamed Tijani (Slavia Prague) have returned to their parent clubs.
Bundu finished the 2024/25 Championship campaign as Argyle’s second top scorer with 11 goals in all competitions, one behind Ryan Hardie.
Following the Pilgrims’ relegation to League One, and with the Sierra Leone international being a free agent this summer, he is sure to attract strong interest from other clubs wanting to sign him.
