Dan Heath and Wes Salter are among four friends walking from Bristol to Plymouth for men's mental health

A DAD is set to walk 123 miles from Bristol to Plymouth with three friends after losing a close friend to suicide.

Wes Salter, 33, grew up in Bristol but relocated to Plymouth around 10 years ago, where he met his friend Steve Barnes.

Dad-of-four Steve took his own life aged 33 in 2024 and Wes is now on a mission to raise much-needed funds for men's mental health support group, Andy's Man Club.

Wes, joined by Plymouth - based Dan Heath and Bristol-based Steve Higgins and Al Lip, hopes to complete the gruelling journey in four days and raise around £2,000 for the suicide prevention charity.
