Man jailed for bringing drugs from Thailand

CONOR O'NEILL SENTENCED TO FOUR-AND-A-HALF YEARS’ JAIL

A DRUG dealer who tried to smuggle 17kg of cannabis into the UK has been jailed. Conor O'Neill, 26, of Glen Park Avenue in Plymouth, was stopped at Heathrow Airport with multiple packets of the Class B drug in his suitcase after returning from Thailand where he went while on bail for other drug offences.

During his sentencing at Plymouth Crown Court on Tuesday, the court heard how police officers had observed a suspected drug user arrive by taxi at a property in Glen Park Avenue in Plymouth on April 11, 2024. The vehicle was stopped and a different man detained after an amount of cocaine was found.
