Gladiators find guests with Barker not ready to return

NO sooner had Plymouth Gladiators got a pretty formidable one-to-seven in place for the remainder of the season than their injury curse struck again with popular Cornishman Ben Barker out of this weekend's double header in the north

Earlier this week, the Gladiators announced the signing of British speedway legend Scott Nicholls as they made changes to a side lacking in form and one that suffered another injury blow with new Czech recruit Daniel Klima breaking his leg in a crash whilst riding in Germany.

The Gladiators have also brought in 25-year-old Arran Butcher for the rest of the season and decided to part ways with Australian Mitchell Cluff, who struggled to post any scores of note since arriving from Down Under.
