Bishop has high hopes for his talented Centurions team

BARRY Bishop is excited by the team he has put together and hopes his blend of youth and experience can be the winning formula for Plymouth Centurions.
Bishop will oversee Plymouth speedway's development team this summer in the National Development Trophy after being brought to the club by promoter Mark Phillips.
Gary May will continue to oversee the Plymouth Gladiators and Bishop has used his contacts to build a seven-man team that he hopes can be highly competitive this summer.
“When Plymouth's promoter Mark Phillips asked me if I would do the job I was slightly torn due to my long standing friendship with Mark and my other hat as Isle of Wight's co-promoter with Martin Widman, but it didn't take me long to realise that it could be a good thing for both of us,” Bishop said.
“I am delighted with the team that we have put together that has both experience and youth in it, exactly what the sport should be trying to achieve at his level.
