AS the National League One season edges towards its decisive stretch, Plymouth Albion face another significant examination of their promotion credentials today when they travel to the Midlands to take on Birmingham Moseley.

- By PABLO CHEEKS

Albion make the journey sitting second in National One, just a single point behind leaders Rotherham Titans, and in the midst of a formidable 10-game winning streak. Confidence is high, momentum is tangible and belief within the camp is unmistakable. Yet, with the table so finely balanced at the summit, there is little room for complacency. That current 10-game run also matches Albion's record winning streak from last season, a sequence that had supporters on the edge of their seats every week and helped build the belief that this group can sustain success under pressure.

Today offers the chance to stretch that run to 11 consecutive victories, a remarkable sequence at any level, but Moseley, currently 10th, will be determined to use home advantage to derail Albion’s charge.

Albion’s recent form has been built on a blend of controlled power and clinical finishing. During this 10-match surge, they have shown an ability to win in different ways: grinding out tight encounters through set-piece dominance and game management and, when space presents itself, striking with pace and precision out wide.

The forwards have laid the platform. A consistent scrum has yielded penalties at key moments, while the lineout has provided reliable attacking ball. Behind them, the backs have grown in confidence week by week, turning pressure into points with increasing regularity.
