£70m push to recruit young military cadets

MP SAYS BOOST WILL OPEN UP MANY OPPORTUNITIES

A MAJOR £70 million expansion of the UK's cadet forces "will open up opportunities for Plymouth young people", according to a city MP.

Labour wants to boost cadet forces by 30% by 2030 with more Army and Air Cadet Centres.

The Government announced the “30 by 30” campaign last week, saying it will boost cadet forces by 30% by 2030 and see 40,000 more cadets across the UK. It said that, under the expansion, young people will have the chance to gain more qualifications, improve their confidence, and learn about the military.
