Maggie's cancer charity opens its doors on Teesside

THE Queen's cancer charity, Maggie's, has officially opened its doors on Teesside.

The national charity helps people living with cancer, as well as their family and friends, access free expert support and has now joined forces with the Trinity Holistic Centre in the grounds of James Cook University Hospital.
The Queen is the patron of the charity and the announcement of a move to Teesside was made during a visit to the region by King Charles and Queen Camilla in February this year.
Maggie's marked the opening on Teesside with a celebratory event where guests included chief executive Dame Laura Lee and University Hospitals Tees Group chief executive Stacey Hunter.
