Get set for fun It will be an Amazing Summer of free activities for children
-
Schools are out for summer across Dumfries and Galloway after the bell rings on July 3 but many children and young people are being given the option to take part in a wide range of free activities over the holidays.
Activities, available from Friday, July 4, until Wednesday, August 20, are specifically aimed at children and young people aged 5 to 16 years old (up to 25 years old for care experienced young people) who are within the 'priority groups.
Dumfries and Galloway Council said its £264,000 school summer holidays events funding will provide “support to children and young people who may otherwise struggle to access experiences” during the long break, giving them “the opportunity to play, socialise and get to know organisations and services within their local community”
