TRALALERO AND FRIENDS IN THE CLASSROOM

One Tuesday morning, Teacher Clarissa came to class earlier than usual. She had designed a very big “Welcome!” sign on the board behind the class before any of the students arrived.

When everyone arrived and settled down, she clapped her hands excitedly.

“Class, today we have some very special new students joining us,” she announced. The first quarter has just finished so the students didn’t really understand what she meant, whether new students were just visiting for the day or joining their class until the end of the school year.

The children gasped as the classroom door creaked open. One by one, the most unusual figures shuffled in.

First came a three-legged shark in Nike sneakers, mumbling nonsense in a singsong voice. “Tra-la-la, tutti-frutti spaghetti!” he cried, spinning in circles. Everyone was wide-eyed.

Next waddled a crocodile-headed bomber plane who knocked over three chairs just by entering. “Clear the runway! Bombardiro landing!” he roared. Few students started to giggle.
