It took six years for Ice Seguerra's idea of reuniting with former group, Sessionistas, to finally come to fruition with a concert. Following a successful pre-Valentine's show last year in Parañaque, which was followed by an encore in October, they are eager to perform for their Cebu audience on April 18.

"It's a perfect reunion," Seguerra said during a press conference at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, where the concert will be staged. "Just the thought of singing with these guys again made me excited, and I was happy with our first shows last year."

The septet was formed in 2009 on ASAP and consists of Nyoy Volante, Juris Fernandez, and Princess Velasco, who were present at the press conference with Seguerra. Other members include Kean Cipriano, Duncan Ramos, and Sitti Navarro.

"We are happy knowing Cebuanos love good music and appreciate it. That's why artists from Manila are nervous to sing in front of Cebuanos because there are a lot of good musicians here," added Fernandez, a Davaoeña.

The "Love, Sessionistas" concerts are produced by the live production arm of Seguerra's Fire and Ice Studios, co-run with the singer-songwriter's wife, Liza Dino-Seguerra.

"Because of Fire and Ice, the ideas we kept talking about in the dressing room [during a 'Rainbow Rumble' guest stint] finally turned into a reality through a concert," said Velasco.

The Cebu audience can look forward to a special segment where the group will be performing Bisaya songs.
