Mayor Archival, Pastor clash over Mabini heavy equipment
The Freeman
|October 16, 2025
Mayor Archival's retort came after Alcover criticized and slammed the mayor, on social media, for the alleged decision to pull out the equipment from Mabini.
-
Archival strongly denied Alcover's allegations. In an interview on Monday, the mayor consistently stated that there had been no order from his office to recall the equipment—a wheel loader, an excavator, and a road roller—from Mabini.
However, yesterday (Wednesday), Alcover on his Facebook page hit Archival again, this time basing on information he allegedly received from Barangay Mabini Captain Richard Adolfo that the equipment had been pulled out. “Bakakon naman kaayo si Nestor! Na wa' akong respito nimo!” Alcover wrote in his post.
In a separate interview, Archival insisted that the equipment remained under the care of Barangay Mabini. “Wa' ko kahibaw og unsa'y basis ‘ana niya (Alcover). Di' ko kasabot niya, basi'g na wrong information siya og gisultian ba s'ya sa tinuod or gusto lang gyud niyang balihon,” he retorted.
