Danao City launches PalengQR PH Plus Program

Danao City has taken another major step toward digital transformation with the official launch of the PalengQR PH Plus Program, a nationwide initiative spearheaded by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The launching event gathered city officials, department heads, BSP Region 7 and DILG representatives, financial service providers, market vendors, and tricycle drivers, who all expressed full support for the adoption of digital payments in the city.
Through the program, cashless transactions using QR codes are now accepted in the public market and in the transport sector, particularly among tricycle operators and drivers. The innovation is seen to make daily transactions more convenient, safer, and cost-effective for both vendors and consumers.
