A FATHER'S EASTER EGG FUN

The Freeman

April 20, 2025

The Pilar family just moved into their new neighborhood, known as Sitio Tabang. After attending one of the homeowners' meetings, they decided to host an Easter egg hunt.

- By Zaida Marie A. Tambis

They spent days painting and stuffing plastic eggs with candies, different toys, and a few special goodies. They also had "golden eggs" with surprise mini gift cards inside. Everyone in the family was enjoying doing the preparations until Papa Ray got a little too creative.

He set aside three dozen plastic eggs. He said he would take care of them himself. When everyone else was asleep, he would start working on his share of eggs.

Without anyone's knowledge, he put some prank items in a few eggs like play money, non-pair earrings, Brussel sprouts, fart bombs, colored fake lashes and in some eggs, he inserted notes that said "Try again." or "There's nothing here."

One early morning, he visited the family's main workshop, and he found the list which Mama Helen ticked off items from.
