When is ignorance blissful?

If knowledge is power, how can ignorance be bliss?

Ignorance can be bliss when there is no knowledge or awareness of evil, or of unpleasant and troubling things, because it means life is happier and more carefree. When we do not know about a difficulty, threat, or sad truth, we do not worry about it. This is most commonly seen in children. Children living in a conflict zone may be unaware of the political and historical reasons behind the violence, and still find joy in simple things like playing with friends. Their ignorance shields them from the emotional burdens that adults carry. The same adults may look back at their childhood or earlier times fondly, in part because they were less aware of, and burdened by, problems.
