Congress to have extended CWC meet as it eyes Telangana-like comeback in Bihar

Congress is all set to hold the extended CWC meeting in Bihar for the first time after independence in the state, just like it held the party's highest decision body meeting in Telangana in 2023 after which it formed the government there.
The grand old party announced to hold the extended Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Bihar just ahead of the crucial assembly polls.
The meeting will be attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, CPP chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and all 170 members of the committee, marking a significant political event ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
The party sources said that holding the extended CWC meeting in the state for the first time in the state after independence. The party had held the CWC meeting in Bihar in 1940.
