Chouhan calls Congress’s ‘Save MGNREGA’ drive a ‘save corruption campaign’

As the Congress announced a “Save MGNREGA” movement against the Viksit Bharat G RAM G Act beginning January 8, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday described the campaign as essentially a “Save Corruption Campaign”.

Hitting out at the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, Chouhan said the party was agitated because avenues for corruption had been shut. He alleged that the Congress had consistently opposed development, adding that it had problems with villages, employment and Ram (a reference to the Ram Temple), and claimed corruption was “in the party’s DNA”.

Referring to the Lok Sabha debate, Chouhan said the Congress lacked the courage to sit through the full discussion.
