'World's most overdue library book' finally returned after four decades

A BOOK taken out from a Cornwall library more than four decades ago has finally been returned.

A copy of Music Notation, by Gardner Read, which was borrowed from Penzance Library, was due to be returned by March 25, 1980. It was eventually handed into St Ives Library in November - 45 years late
