|May 29, 2025
A FORMER airman and prolific child sex offender who died in prison aged 65 had cancer, a report has confirmed.
Graham Glennie, originally from the St Ives area, died at HM Prison Whatton in Nottinghamshire on December 7.
As with all deaths in custody or state detention an investigation was then launched by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman (PPO).
Glennie, then 51, had been sentenced to imprisonment for public protection (IPP) in November 2010 at Peterborough Crown Court.
He had admitted abusing a girl in the 1980s and a seven-year-old boy in the 1990s. The court heard he also abused a boy in Turkey, where he lived between 2007 and 2010, and had collected more than 60,000 indecent images of children.
