Mining conference focuses on critical issues for industry

HUNDREDS of delegates from all over the world gathered in Cornwall for the UK Mining Conference as critical questions were posed for the industry.

How is Cornwall driving the clean tech revolution? How do the energy transition, resource nationalism and tariffs signal a new age of disruption for metals markets? Is the UK well placed to take advantage of the global critical minerals landscape? Can Cornish mining regeneration accelerate economic growth?

These were just some of the thought-provoking questions that were addressed during the sixth UK Mining Conference which was held at Falmouth's Princess Pavilion on June 11-12.

Created by Cornish Lithium, a mineral exploration and development company pioneering the clean extraction of lithium in the UK, and now hosted by Jay One Events, the conference provided a unique platform for explorers and investors, mine operators and specialist manufacturers to exchange knowledge about the sector and initiate important conversations about its future development.
