The Chronicle
|January 17, 2026
A CAT which was missing for nearly a year was reunited with his owners after being hit by a van and four cars.
Black and white cat Wolverine, two, disappeared from his home in East Hartford, near Cramlington, Northumberland, in March.
His owners Leah Gregory, 21, and Paul Allsopp, 22, put up posters and social media posts to try to find him, unsuccessfully.
Then on Monday, they were stunned when they received a phone call from an animal hospital which was treating him.
They discovered that Wolverine had been rushed to Moorview Referrals near Cramlington by Adam Mulvey, 42, from Blyth, who had witnessed him being hit by a van and four cars.
The pet had a fractured pelvis and fractured back legs as well as a tail pulling injury.
They rushed to the vets, where they were reunited with Wolverine, who might also need to have his tail amputated.
