Man who rammed cop car with tractor jailed

A MAN who deliberately rammed a police car with a tractor in Malpas has been jailed.
Alfred Brereton appeared at Chester Crown Court where he was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
The 19-year-old, of Bickley Town Lane, Bickley, near Malpas, had earlier pleaded guilty to criminal damage recklessly endangering life.
As well as his custodial sentence, he is also banned from driving for three years and three months which will start upon his release from prison.
The court heard how at 11.20pm on Saturday, May 25, 2024 police were called to reports of a suspected drink-driver in Malpas.
The caller reported that the man was driving a tractor which had been parked outside a pub.
