Town-made combo electric van pride

MP Justin Madders was proud to see the Ellesmere Port-made Vauxhall Combo-e electric van being showcased at the inaugural Manchester Motor Show.

Mr Madders, whose Ellesmere Port and Bromborough constituency includes the Stellantis automotive factory, visited the event at Manchester Central Convention Complex. More than 1,000 skilled workers make the small, compact electric vans at the all-electric Ellesmere Port plant for brands including Citroën, Peugeot and Fiat as well as Vauxhall.

A £50 million investment will see mid-sized electric vans, also displayed in Manchester, made at the factory by 2027.
