Man stole more than £5k of tools from van

A PROLIFIC offender from Chester is back behind bars after he pleaded guilty to a string of offences - including stealing more than £5,000 worth of tools from a parked van.
Stephen Prior recently appeared at Crewe Magistrates' Court where he was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison.
The 47-year-old, of no fixed abode, had previously admitted driving a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, theft from a motor vehicle, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
In addition to his prison sentence, he was also banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay a £154 victim's surcharge.
