Dias says City are scared of failure - and fired up to avoid another flop
RUBEN DIAS admits the fear of more failure is driving Manchester City's desire to become Premier League champions again.
Pep Guardiola’s side had to stomach the sight of Liverpool replacing them as kings of English football last season.
And to make matters worse, City’s miserable campaign was compounded by the fact they failed to win a single piece of silverware.
Dias (right) knows that the standards fell well below those expected of them under Guardiola.
And the defender says the consequences of failing again are inspiring them to make amends.
City will face a stern test of their newfound resolve today when they travel to face title rivals Arsenal at the Emirates.
But Dias said: “I wouldn't say so much that we have something to prove. It's more that we want to win.
“We are very aware of what happened last season, and I feel like, in a way, that's a good fear. You know what I mean?
