Harry rages at book that calls Meghan a 'threat' to Wills & Kate

- BY CHARLOTTE FOSTER and PATRICK HILL

HARRY and Meghan have launched a blistering attack on the author of a book that claims Queen Camilla said Meghan had brainwashed her husband Harry.

The Prince and Princess of Wales also considered Meghan a threat as tensions escalated before the Sussexes quit Britain for the UK, Tom Bower's unauthorised biography claims.

Yesterday a spokesman for Harry and Meghan hit back, saying the former BBC journalist was clouded by hatred.

They said: “Mr Bower's commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation. This is someone who has publicly stated, ‘The monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life’ - language that speaks for itself.

“He has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met.

“Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him.”

'Revenge'

The book, Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, is being published on March 26.

One of the main allegations from the book, serialised by the Times, details how Harry, first feeling grievances towards the Royal Family, underwent an apparent change in behaviour evident to those around him, including his stepmother Camilla.
