FROM Scottish Premiership to National League South felt a long way to fall for Jayden Richardson.

Richardson is settling in well at St Mirren, eight games into a second stint in Scotland that he has grabbed with both hands.

But it proved just the kind of confidence rebuild Richardson needed badly.

The Nottingham Forest academy graduate said: “Having been with big clubs then going to the National League South, it was a big thing for me.
“Mentally, at the start, I was a bit wary. I didn’t know half of the teams who were in the league.
