Celts' market moves yet to fire up punters
Sunday Mail
|July 06, 2025
REHEARSALS are well underway for the latest run of Celtic: The Musical, with the curtain up in September.

But, unlike the stage show, the football team hasn't quite cast all of the leading roles yet.
And some of the punters in the stalls are getting tetchy.
They should know the drill by now. Celtic have signed five players but only two of them are first-team ready.
Kieran Tierney will walk in, it remains to be seen if Benjamin Nygren will be utilised as a wide man or No.10 but, either way, he'll be around it. The rest? Don't bank on seeing them too often for a while.
Ross Doohan is a more than solid backup who might be the main man down the line.
The noises around Callum Osmand suggest the former Fulham striker is going to be part of the setup but this is a kid yet to make a senior appearance in the game.
He might have bags of potential - but it's going to take time. Likewise Hayato Inamura.
Celtic have regularly plundered the Japanese market but this is a left-field one regardless.
