OLIVIA'S FAB FOUR AS AWARDS MOVE TO MANCHESTER
OLIVIA Dean was the queen of the North as the Brit Awards left London for the first time.
The 26-year-old whose songs include Man I Need and So Easy (To Fall In Love) scooped four gongs at the Manchester bash, confirming her status as one of the UK's biggest stars.
One of the city's railway stations had already been dubbed Olivia Deansgate in her honour and by the end of the night her name was also on the Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Pop Act, and Song of the Year awards.
The Coop Live arena also paid tribute to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne and local hero Gary “Mani” Mountfield, who both died last year.
Robbie Williams performed a tribute to Ozzy, who died in July at the age of 76 and was honoured with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement award.
The performance, curated by Ozzy’s widow Sharon, consisted of a special arrangement of Black Sabbath’s 1991 song No More Tears, with Robbie joined on stage by keyboardist Adam Wakeman, Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, drummer Tommy Clufetos and guitarist Zakk Wylde.
