Quality concerns at Balhousie Dalnaglar
A Crieff care home has been hit with an improvement notice after an inspection revealed “serious and significant concerns about the quality of care”.
The Care Inspectorate served the improvement notice on Balhousie Dalnaglar Care Home, located on Comrie Road, with a report of the latest inspection set to be published in due course.
The Care Inspectorate determined that Balhousie Dalnaglar is “not operating in accordance with the requirements of regulations made under the Act or other prescribed requirements”.
It also cautioned that without “a significant improvement in provision of the service, it intends to make a proposal to cancel your registration”.
The Care Inspectorate acknowledged that it recognised “this is a difficult and distressing time for residents”.
A representative for BCG, who manage and run the facility, expressed they were “deeply disappointed” by the report.
A spokesperson for the Care Inspectorate said: “An inspection has identified serious and significant concerns about the quality of care experienced by residents at Balhousie Dalnaglar Care Home in Crieff.
“We understand this is a difficult and distressing time for residents, their families and staff at the service.
