£7500 boost to Clans@The Croft mountain bike event

- STAFF REPORTER

A Perthshire mountain biking event set to take place this autumn has received a boost with a £7500 grant.

Clans @ The Croft - the first Enduro in the UK where riding buddies can join forces as a Clan, a team of three - takes place on Saturday October 25 at Comrie Croft.

Every rider is timed - five stages on the full course and three on the new Lite course-on a course packed with jumps, berms, roots, rock slabs, and race-only off-piste sections.

There are categories for manual and e-bikes and age categories from 12 to 99.

The new Clans @ The Croft event director Emily Greaves has secured £7500 of funding from EventScotland’s National Events Funding Programme for this year's event.

She said: “Having taken over Clans @ The Croft from Muckmedden Events, Comrie Croft want to fulfil [previous organiser] Aaron Gray's vision for this popular event.
