New homeware store set to open

STOCKPORT town centre's shopping district is set to welcome a major new arrival as a homeware and lifestyle brand prepares to open its doors.

Merseyway Shopping Centre will soon be home to Danish retail chain, Sostrene Grene, a contemporary store known for its affordable home decor, furniture and stylish lifestyle products.

Taking over a 4,590 sq ft unit formerly occupied by JD Sports, which last year relocated to a larger flagship store within the centre, the Sostrene Grene shopping experience has feature soft lighting, classical music and a distinctive labyrinth-style layout.

Sostrene Grene Group CEO, Mikkel Grene said: “We are looking very much forward to opening our first store in wonderful Stockport.

“This opening will further solidify our presence in Greater Manchester, where we have many loyal customers.

“The location in Merseyway Shopping Centre is superb and this new store will be the first in the area to showcase our newest shopping concept where we have worked especially on evoking the visitors' senses.
