Young players are making a big impact, and more clubs are willing to promote from their DStv Diski Challenge than to go out to sign a player for millions. It saves clubs money to promote from within, and it also gives them an opportunity to groom players who could be sold for millions to teams abroad in the future. With the next transfer window coming, there's a good chance that clubs won't be spending too much on transfer fees because they can either bring in free agents or get young talent from their youth teams. QT Sports Managing Director and owner, Basia Michaels, spoke to Soccer Laduma's Tshepang Mailwane about how the young players from the DStv Diski Challenge are slowly taking over, which could make life a bit more challenging for older players looking for big contracts.
