SIFISO MYENI (PART 3)
-
"Nsunda," welcome back, brother, to the third and final instalment of our Still in Touch. Last week we ended our conversation when you were telling us about coach Vladimir Vermezovic making you train hard after Thandani Ntshumayelo failed to switch off the TV when you returned from Free State.
The worst thing about that is that “Bibo” told the coach that everyone was involved in the incident because he didn't want to die alone, ha, ha, ha. He really didn't take all the blame and he decided to throw everyone under the bus by telling the coach that everyone was involved. “Bibo" was always getting us into trouble.
Tell us more...
Myself, “Bibo” and coach “VV" used to live in one area in Fourways. Coach “VV" used to come to training every day, and he never liked someone who was late; he hated that with a passion. The only time we were late for training was because of traffic and when coach asked us what happened, we explained to him that, “We were stuck in traffic.” But he made it a point to tell us that the three of us lived in the same area, so we couldn't give him excuses for being late. He said, “Training starts at 09h00 and that means you must leave at 07h00 because there is no traffic at that time.”

South Americans are very fragile
Last weekend we saw Orlando Pirates make history by becoming the first Carling Knockout champions to beat the All-Stars team, after both Magesi FC and Stellenbosch FC failed to do so in the previous two seasons. Pirates were forced to play without several of their regulars as they are in camp in preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou's charges beat coach Manqoba Mngqithi's team 2-0 to be crowned champions, for the second time in a week. Congratulations to Bucs as they close the year on a high note.
