Recycling ecoPlant set for Enterprise Park

NORTH Kesteven District Council has announced plans for the next phase of Sleaford Moor Enterprise Park with a 'clean-tech' company and waste plastics recycler identifying the park as an ideal site.

The 'Clean Planet Energy' part of the 'Clean Planet Group, is a UKbased technology company which converts hard-to-recycle plastics into 'Purified Pyrolysis Oil' which can be made into ultra low sulphur diesel fuel (ULSD).

The prices of both the purified pyrolysis oil and the low-sulphur diesel are set to soar in future years as the world runs out of crude oil.

'Clean Planet' has said it wants to build a total of ten such plastic recycling facilities across Britain, with the total capacity to process 20,000 tonnes a year of waste plastics into the products which can be reused without relying on mining more oil.
