Foreign Secretary warns Britain will act if needed
BRITISH jet pilots are ready to confront Russian planes violating NATO airspace, Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper told the United Nations.
She accused Vladimir Putin of risking “direct armed confrontation” with recent incursions into alliance members’ territory.
Addressing the UN security council for the first time as Foreign Secretary, she said: “They are a deliberate attempt to undermine the territorial integrity of sovereign nations and European security.
