Tome from home for miracle book

A BOOK collector who bought an old Enyd Blyton adventure from a charity shop found doodles inside the cover drawn by his wife as a child - 50 years ago and 160 miles away.

Steve Mills, 67, had developed a late interest in the children’s author after finding Five on Treasure island on a previous charity shop trawl.

He went on to collect around 50 of the writer’s books over the following year at the couple’s home in Hockley, Essex — but never took much notice of the scribbles inside.
