Peggie demands doctor and NHS payout if she wins case

SANDIE PEGGIE wants a payout from both NHS Fife and Dr Beth Upton if she is successful in winning her employment tribunal.

And the nurse's list of demands also seek an admission from the health board and the medic that they unlawfully discriminated against her.

Evidence sessions for the tribunal wrapped up earlier this week but it is still not finished. Both lawyers will give closing statements when the case recommences at the start of September, before Judge Sandy Kemp retires to make his decision.

It has become one of the most high-profile and highly-publicised employment tribunals in Scottish legal history. Ms Peggie is suing the health board and Dr Upton after being forced to share the female changing room with the biological male. She was suspended from work at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy after confronting him on Christmas Eve 2023.
