STEPHEN ROBINSON has asked his St Mirren stars to ensure they're not saddled with 27 years of regret like him.

The Buddies manager (right) is still nagged by his own national stadium no-show as a player.

Robinson faces Premier Sports Cup holders Celtic at Hampden tomorrow with a team full of final rookies.

He was the same back in 1998 for Bournemouth in the Auto Windscreens Shield final.

But Robinson admitted he flopped in their defeat to Grimsby.

He said: "I do have regrets. There were 63,000 at the old Wembley, which is incredible.
