TAKE UP EXERCISE TO TAKE ON CANCER

- BY LUCY LAING

SIX incredible women explain why exercise helped them regain confidence and hope as they faced breast cancer.

They dance and sing in a fun video to the 80s hit Call on Me by Eric Prydz for the BooBee Campaign, to spread the word. Here, they share the activities that keep them positive...

RUNNING

Danielle McDermott, 42, who lives in Liverpool with her daughter Hollie, 14, was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in November 2018, at the age of 35.

She had a premonition she had breast cancer, so she kept checking her breasts, finding a lump a few months later.

After a mastectomy and chemo, she began running. She says: "I'd always hated it. Now I love it, it's such a buzz. It helps with bone density after chemo."

YOGA

Debi Piper, 58, of Sale, Greater Manchester, is mum to son Ryan, 32, and daughter, Alana, 30.
