Mum's warning after son is attacked by gang of youths

THE mother of one of four teenagers brutally attacked by a masked gang of 30 youths has warned parents “children are not safe anymore”.

It comes after the friends were battered and slashed in the unprovoked assault.

The victims, along with two other friends, had spent the afternoon at Pettycur beach in Kinghorn, Fife.

As they left to catch a bus home around 8pm on Sunday, they were confronted by the gang, the majority of whom were wearing balaclavas.

The attack lasted several minutes and although two boys managed to flee, the others sustained appalling injuries.
