RANGERS' rotten start to the season continued with a second consecutive Europa League defeat, this time at the hands of Austrian champions Sturm Graz.

The Ibrox men found themselves two down before half-time and, despite an early goal after the break from Gassama and various attacking substitutions by a desperate Russell Martin, Rangers were left in 32nd place in the 36-team league.

Martin said: "You can't start that poorly. We had loads of chances in the first half but they had too many. The mentality is the problem.
