Kids' nurse jailed after drugs and money raid

A CHILDREN'S nurse is behind bars after drugs and dirty money with a total value of around £200,000 were found in a police swoop.
After Kiran Farooq was detained, police used keys that were in her possession to seize cocaine, ecstasy and cash from an upmarket flat.
Yesterday at the High Court in Glasgow, she pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. The judge said the 35-year-old had shamed herself and her profession.
Farooq was warned she faces a lengthy jail term when she is sentenced next month.
The court heard Farooq was spotted by cops in December 2023 going into a car, then leaving it and entering her own vehicle.
