Hidden saver limits make ‘easy access' inaccessible

SAVERS are being urged to check the small print on their so-called 'easy access' savings accounts, as many come with hidden restrictions that limit withdrawals or reduce interest rates.

More than 80% of easy access accounts offered by leading current account providers come with restrictions, according to new research by savings app Spring and personal finance site Moneycomms.

Out of 56 accounts analysed, just 10 were classed as "pure" easy access, with no limits, fees or catches.
