A FORMER RAF officer has been acquitted of assault after he and his wife gave very different accounts of a Christmas Eve row.
Former RAF officer and banker Mr Berry
Nicholas Berry’s wife Ruth said he came home drunk on December 24, 2023, and became violent.
She told a court: “He came in drunk as I was putting the stuffing in a stainless steel bowl.” She said he swore and ordered her to leave the house, adding: “He trapped me in the corner of the kitchen and manhandled me.
“He grabbed me and pushed me hard on my chest and I fell to the ground.
