Encore! Tear-jerker waltz that left Strictly stunned is back

STRICTLY'S new contestants are about to hotfoot it onto our TV screens but it's a dance from last year that will really get the contest off to a flying start.

Comedian Chris McCausland and his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell - the 2024 champions - will perform the waltz that captured the nation's hearts on the launch show this Saturday.

Their tear-jerking routine to You'll Never Walk Alone was such a hit it went on to win the BAFTA TV Memorable Moment Award, voted for by the public.

The show, hosted again by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, will also feature group dances by the professionals and all 15 of this year's celebrity contestants.
