Don't be here now...fence blocks Oasis gig view

OASIS fans have called authorities killjoys for putting up a fence to stop ticketless people watching the band from a field.

Hundreds have sung along to the group from the Manchester spot dubbed “Gallagher Hill”, watching a distant big screen in the Heaton Park concert area.

The field is even listed as a “tourist attraction” on Google Maps.

But this week, the city council has erected a steel fence which blocks views of Noel and Liam belting out hits like Wonderwall on the park's 84 x 12m screen.

The authority says the spot is being made into a woodland area and has pregnant cattle and a bull.
