Crowds turn out to watch demolition of Glasgow flats

HUNDREDS turned out on Sunday to watch three high-rise tower blocks being demolished in Glasgow.
The 26-storey towers have stood on Wyndford Road in the Maryhill area of the city since the 1960s.
But they were deemed not fit for habitation by owners Wheatley Homes and a controlled explosion to bring them down was arranged for Sunday afternoon.
