Well hero Regan says Fir Park battlers can do something special now they've made it to Hampden

COOKED TO PERFECTION

REGAN CHARLES-COOK believes Motherwell have the chance to “do something special” at Hampden.

The recent signing was the hero as he fired the Steelmen into the Premier Sports Cup last four.

It saw the attacking midfielder open his Motherwell account and make himself an instant hero with the Claret and Amber faithful, as he saw off Jimmy Thelin’s Aberdeen.

The win also continues Motherwell’s unbeaten start under Jens Berthel Askou. Charles-Cook claimed: “Yeah, it was very enjoyable, That's what people dream of, you know what I mean?

“Like, going to Hampden and giving us a chance to go and do something special for this club.

“So it was very enjoyable. It's a special group with special talent in it and you know what? We're very together and we're enjoying every moment, from training to games and the consistency that were showing.

“So I really believe that we can really do something special!”

He got the goal when Tawanda Maswanhise cut across and found Emmanuel Longelo.

He rolled it back to Charles-Cook who connected perfectly to fire a shot past Dimitar Mitov, as it curled away from him.

“I've known Dimi a long time,” the Motherwell star admitted.

“We used to be in the same academy together at Charlton.
